The National Venture Capital Association in the US has named Ted Schlein, partner of Menlo Park-based Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, as its 2007-2008 chairman. He succeeds Robert Grady, managing director at The Carlyle Group. The NVCA has also announced the appointment of eight new board members, who will serve a four-year term.
