Industrifonden banks 40 times return on Qliktech exit

Swedish firm Industrifonden has sold the final portion of its stake in business software company Qliktech in what stands as one of the highest-grossing returns for the Swedish venture capital industry.

The firm has sold its remaining 6.5 per cent stake in the Nasdaq-listed company for SEK780m (€86.9m), bringing Industrifonden’s total aggregate proceeds from its interest in the company SEK920m (€102.6m), 40 times its SEK23m (€2.5m) investment.

Qliktech, which originated in Lund, Sweden, sells the business intelligence system Qlikview, a software solution to gather and analyse information from databases.

Industrifonden has been involved with the company since 1997, helping it to go public in July 2010.
