UK government-backed emerging markets fund of funds manager CDC has committed $5.8m to the Afghanistan Reconstruction Fund, the first private equity fund established for Afghanistan. The fund will invest in small and medium-sized enterprises in Afghanistan with an investment range of $500,000 to $5m.
